Building a script

So to make a script we’ll need to start with two different tunes, the base tune you started with and the finished tune you want to be able to duplicate.  In the process we’ll make a script file called MyScript.txt.

For these instructions we’ll use the names stock.tun, modified.tun and scripted.tun.

  • Start by opening the EFILive V7.5 Tune tool
  • Go to File -> Open Tuning File and open stock.tun
  • Next go to File -> Load Alternate File for Comparison and open modified.tun
  • Next go to Edit -> Create Script
  • Now press Save, enter MyScript for the name, then press the other Save and then press Close

That’s all it takes to make a script, now let’s make a tune using MyScript.txt:

  • Choose File -> Close Tune File
  • Go to File -> Open Tuning File and open stock.tun
  • Now go to Edit -> Run Script
  • Press Open, select MyScript.txt and then press Open
  • Now press Run. You’ll see all the changes applied and finally you’ll see Done and then you should press Close.
  • Now choose File -> Save as and save the file as scripted.tun

Now that we’ve finished running the script we need to check if it worked.

  • Go to File -> Open Tuning File and open modified.tun
  • Next go to File -> Load Alternate File for Comparison and open scripted.tun
  • Now choose File -> Display Calibration Difference Summary

If all went as planned, you should see almost no differences or maybe even no differences.
